General News

  • Nominations for the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame Class of 2026 are now being accepted, and the deadline for submission is October 13.
  • The 2022 U.S. Olympic Figure Skating Team (Alexa Knierim, Brandon Frazier, Karen Chen, Nathan Chen, Vincent Zhou, Madison Chock, Evan Bates, Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue) was awarded the Jack Kelly Fair Play Award for their commitment to sportsmanship and clean sport.
  • Decisions made at Sept. 28-29 ISU Council Meeting
    • The hosts for the 2026-27 Junior Grand Prix Series were released.
    • The ISU announced that Olympic gold medalist Brandon Frazier was named to the ISU Single and Pair Skating Technical Committee.
    • Nathan Chen, Deniss Vasiljevs, and Elladj Balde were named to the ISU Environmental Sustainability Working Group.
    • The ISU will roll out a social media monitoring and moderation program that they tested at the 2025 World Championships.
  • The ISU officially opened the doors of its new “Home Of Skating” headquarters In Lausanne.
  • Anastasia Golubeva and Hektor Giotopoulos Moore have withdrawn from Skate Canada International.
  • Kristi Yamaguchi has been named the 2025 recipient of the Stan Musial Lifetime Achievement Award for Sportsmanship.
