General News
- North Texas figure skating coach Benjamin Shroats has been arrested and charged with one count of indecency with a child and one count of sexual assault.
- U.S. Champion Johnny Johns passed away February 20. A memorial service will be held on March 7, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST at Audubon Country Club (625 Audubon Blvd.) in Naples, Florida. To RSVP to attend, click here.
- On February 16, information about next year’s rhythm dance was released. This is provisional and is subject to approval and publication in an ISU communication. The Ice Dance Technical Committee has proposed that the theme and music for junior and senior rhythm dance for the 2026/27 season is Rhythm and Waltz.
- The ice dance team of Chisato Uramatsu and Atsuhiko Tamura announced the end of their partnership.
- Gabrielle Daleman announced that there is a new documentary coming out that will go through her life and career.
Worlds Withdrawals/Additions List
- Loena Hendrickx announced on her social media that she won’t be competing at Worlds, saying that the season was quite intense with her reaching the Olympics, particularly coming out of injury. She will be replaced by Jade Hovine.
- Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara won’t compete at Worlds, saying there was a short turnaround between Olympics and Worlds.
- Giulia Isabella Paolino and Andrea Tuba have been added as the second ice dance team for Italy.
