General News
- The City of Alexandria, in partnership with Congressman Don Beyer, will install a memorial bench, bricks, a descriptive sign and trees, honoring the 67 individuals who lost their lives on board American Airlines Flight 5342 and the PAT 25 U.S. Army helicopter in the tragic collision that occurred outside of Ronald Reagan National Airport on January 29, 2025.
- U.S. Figure Skating announced last Tuesday a change in the dates of Skate America in Everett, Washington. The event will now take place Nov. 13-15, with official practices starting Nov. 12.
- The French Federation posted last Wednesday that the Grand Prix de France will take place Oct. 22-25 in Angers.
- Figure skating journalist Phil Hersh stated in a new article on his Globetrotting site that it appears the ISU has apparently decided to hold off on trying to implement the substantial changes they floated previously until at least after the next Winter Olympics in 2030.

- Ice Theatre of New York (ITNY) announced its 2026 Home Season Performances, beginning on Friday, May 1 at 7pm.
- The May 4th Benefit Gala Performance will additionally feature a special performance by Emilea Zingas & Vadym Kolesnik, 2026 Olympians and World Medalists.
- The fundraising Gala will honor Olympic and World Champion Nathan Chen, who will appear on the ice at the end of the Benefit Performance. The Arts & Business Award will be presented to Stars on Ice Producer Byron Allen.
- Olympic figure skating champion Alysa Liu appears in Laufey’s music video Madwoman.
- Yuma Kagiyama announced on social media that he is going to take a break next season
